Preparing Your Submission

All manuscripts submitted to the JCSWB, must be prepared according to our author guidelines (see https://www.journalcswb.ca/index.php/cswb/AuthorGuidelines). Please note that manuscripts not conforming to these guidelines may be returned to the author for correction. Our submission preparation checklist provides a summary of the minimum requirements.

Submission Process and Instructions

All manuscripts are to be submitted online. The Journal uses Open Journal Systems (OJS) as its online submission and peer review system. For instructions on how to submit your manuscript through the OJS system, please visit our “Submission Instructions & Process” page (https://www.journalcswb.ca/index.php/cswb/SubmissionInstructions).

To expedite the peer review process (see below), Authors are requested to provide the names of 3-5 potential reviewers (name, affiliation, and institution/workplace email address), who could, in their opinion, expertly review their manuscript. This can be added to the Title Page of the manuscript submission.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted for potential inclusion in the conference themed issue will undergo the Journal’s standard peer review process. Manuscripts will first be screened to determine whether they are properly prepared according to the Journal’s manuscript preparation requirements. Once determined that manuscript preparation requirements are met, the Editors will make a first assessment of the manuscript submitted and initiate the peer review process.

Important Notes and Timelines:

  • The peer review process can take up to 2 months.
  • If revisions are requested after the first round of review, authors will be asked to upload their revised manuscript within three weeks, or possibly sooner to meet publication and production timelines.
