Journal of CSWB Special Issue Now Available! Envisaging Healthy and Safe Communities

The Journal of Community Safety and Well-Being (JCSWB) is pleased to announce a special issue dedicated to research derived from the Envisaging the Future (EtF) project is now available online!

Published in partnership with the Global Law Enforcement and Public Health Association (GLEPHA), along with Guest Editors Professor Nick Crofts (Honorary Professorial Fellow, School of Population and Global Health, University of Melbourne Australia) and Marc Krupanski (Director for Criminal Justice, Arnold Ventures, USA) the special issue explores progressive community safety strategies by featuring original research from Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, North America, and Western Europe.

This publication has been made possible through the generous support of Deloitte Inc. and thus enabling our global audience to have access to this timely research. Now read in over 150 countries, combined with the international reach of Deloitte Inc., the JCSWB is pleased to contribute to the exchange of emerging approaches to community safety and well-being worldwide.

About the Envisaging the Future Project

The 12-month Envisaging the Future (EtF) project responds to the current attention and reflection on the role of policing in addressing complex issues with health, criminal justice and social justice impacts and implications. The aims of the project are to identify, document, showcase and increase accessibility of practical, alternative initiatives aimed at achieving community safety and well-being across a wide range of settings globally. The research promotes dialogues on public health, law enforcement, and community solutions and will investigate, document, showcase, and propose ways to increase accessibility to practical, alternative, and innovative approaches to current problematic issues—and will demonstrate viable alternative futures. Learn more.
