Call for Papers: Culture and Identity among CSWB Professionals: Are We Different When We Collaborate?

2024-12-12

Dear Colleagues,

Many of our authors over the past year responded admirably to our call-for-papers that could help us all dig deeper into collaboration, its enablers, and its barriers.  Not surprisingly, many observed in varied ways how much collaborative approaches to CSWB have come to represent an entirely different performing space for everyone involved.

As we head into 2025, we will be inviting further and deeper discussion on this reality.  As such, we are issuing this call for papers in hopes of receiving, reviewing, and featuring papers with an emphasis on “Culture and Identity among CSWB Professionals: Are We Different When We Collaborate?” across all CSWB sectors. Accepted papers will be featured in our upcoming regular issues, alongside our continuing and diverse selections of published works.

Here are just some of the questions which we hope all of you might consider:

  • Can we envision even more sustainable practice models defined by a common ideal?
  • Can a parallel identity as a CSWB professional translate into its own defining mission for all of the essential contributors, durable enough to support and sustain common cause performance?
  • How might new myths and norms become reflected and celebrated in the reflex behaviours, policy interpretations, and mission presumptions of CSWB professionals, whether seated around any table or working together in any community, as they seek to combine and complement their collective efforts?
  • How might greater self-awareness, a deeper awareness of others, and new harmonizing strategies contribute to more effectiveness and lasting social outcomes while still working amid the unique demands and competing dynamics outside of the collaborative space?

Our article categories include Original Research (peer-reviewed), Reviews (peer-reviewed), Practice Guidelines (peer-reviewed),Social Innovation Narratives (peer-reviewed), Commentaries, Records of Proceedings, Editorials and unique Food-for-Afterthought perspectives.
